Atrium Development Group Named Developer of the Year by NAIOP Central Florida

When NAIOP Central Florida announced its 2024 "Best of the Best" honorees, Atrium Development Group walked away with two of the most meaningful awards of the night: Developer of the Year and Multifamily Development of the Year for Milk Stacks.

We're proud of that. And we think it's worth explaining why it means more than a plaque on the wall.

The Company We Kept

Developer of the Year was a shared honor — Atrium and Tavistock were named co-recipients. For those unfamiliar with the Central Florida market, Tavistock is one of the most prominent development firms in the region, responsible for shaping entire communities like Lake Nona. Being recognized alongside them, as a boutique firm that started its development division just two years ago, is the kind of validation you don't manufacture.

It told us something: doing fewer things with more intention is a legitimate strategy.

A Project Born from the Neighborhood

Milk Stacks didn't start as a development opportunity. It started as a question we kept asking ourselves — why isn't there more quality housing in The Milk District?

Our headquarters sits in that neighborhood. We've watched it grow. We know the coffee shops, the murals, the independent businesses that give it character. So when the chance came to build there, we made a decision early: this project would belong to the district, not just be located in it.

The result is a 27-unit apartment community designed with intentional public art, materials that nod to the area's industrial past, and a scale that fits rather than overwhelms. Multifamily Development of the Year recognizes all of that — the vision behind the building, not just the building itself.

What's Next

Atrium Development Group is still early in its story. Milk Stacks proved the model: identify underserved neighborhoods, build with care, and create places people genuinely want to live. That's the work we're continuing — in Central Florida and beyond.

If you're an investor, landowner, or community stakeholder interested in what we're building next, we'd love to talk.
